Dogs loose in cars

While I was traveling by car the other day I saw the cutest little Yorkie sitting in its owners lap and my first thought was "Oh isn't that adorable". However just as quickly another thought came to me. What if that sweet little puppy either dived for the floor board (causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle) or possibley worse for the puppy, jumped out the window? While I understand the desire to keep these little darlings close to us, we as responsible pet owners need to think of the safety not only of our pets, but also ourselves! Please crate your dogs in vehicles.
